Kate Fitz Gibbon & Andrew Hale

Kate Fitz Gibbon and Andrew Hale have written extensively on the arts of Central Asia. Their book Ikat: Silks of Central Asia, The Guido Goldman Collection won the Wittenborn Prize for the Best Art Book of 1997. They live in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where Hale writes and consults on vintage and contemporary photography and Fitz Gibbon specializes on issues involving art and cultural heritage. Her most recent book is Who Owns the Past?: Cultural Policy, Cultural Property, and the Law (2005).
